Great Britain, copper alloy Admiral Vernon medal, 1739, Vernon and Lezo / Porto Bello, ex-Medina. AC-PBvl1A. 13.05 grams; 39 mm. Very sharp AU in bright, coppery color with tall rims, a few dark spots, evidently NOT the one pictured for 84 in Medina's book but traced to his collection. AC points out that this variety presents an "historical inaccuracy" in that Lezo was never at Porto Bello. 49.95% copper, 46.43% zinc, 2.78% lead. Pedigreed to the Jose Toribio Medina collection.
